Welcome to Virtual Earth - An Interactive Tool To Learn How the Earth's Interior Works

    Preface

  1. This website is designed to help teach geodynamics to undergraduate and graduate students. The main purpose is to help students develop their understanding and intuition on the basic physics.
  2. So far, this website only supports one learning module -- thermal convection (see the list on the left column). We hope that other modules including viscoelastic relaxation and mantle mixing are to be added some time later.
  3. If you want to install this tool on your computer or laptop for your own class teaching, you can visit here for further information.
